Compassion and Dignity Every Moment of Life
Our team is focused on maximizing quality of life with compassion and dignity. We do this by providing a dedicated, holistic care team to create an individualized care plan focused on your needs and goals. Your team is ready to walk alongside you on this journey.
Hospice of the Northwest has been serving northwest Washington since 1989. The organization was started under the name “Skagit Hospice” and was renamed in 2011 to better represent the vast service area that includes communities in Island, San Juan, Skagit, and Snohomish counties.
Our clinicians come to you, wherever you live, in communities across northwest Washington. This includes:
-
- Island County – Serving Camano Island and Whidbey Island, including communities from Oak Harbor and Coupeville down to Freeland and Langley.
- San Juan Islands – We have clinicians living on San Juan and Orcas Islands, who also serve Lopez and Shaw Island residents.
- Skagit County – Serving all of Skagit County, from the northern communities of Bow and Alger to the southern towns of Mount Vernon and Conway. This includes east Skagit County through Sedro Woolley, Hamilton, and Concrete to the western communities of Anacortes and Guemes Island.
- Snohomish County – We serve all of Snohomish County, from Arlington and Stanwood through Marysville and Everett. We also have patients in the eastern communities around Lake Stevens, Granite Falls, Snohomish, and Monroe.

We hold ourselves to the highest standards
Our vision is to be a locally preferred and nationally recognized hospice and palliative care team providing compassionate, high-quality support and comfort, honoring each individual’s life journey, autonomy, and dignity.
We are a Medicare-certified, Washington State approved hospice. This means we are fully accredited by an objective third party called Community Health Accreditation Partners (CHAP). CHAP keeps us accountable to a nationally-held quality standard. Consistently maintaining high safety and quality metrics are top priorities for Hospice of the Northwest, ensuring our patients receive the best care possible.
