What is hospice care?
Hospice is a philosophy of living life to the fullest. It’s about dignity, comfort, and hope. We believe hospice care is about making your own choices and controlling how you live. Our teams are here to support your individualized needs and goals.
Each hospice patient has a dedicated care team that includes a physician, nurse, social worker, and spiritual counselor. The team works with you to create a personalized care plan tailored to your individual needs and goals, including the need to support your family members and loved ones during this challenging period. Hospice of the Northwest helps you live fully, with dignity, and on your terms.
Hospice is a philosophy that everyone – at any age – should care about.
Hospice Offers:
-
- The comfort of days without pain
- The process of facilitating important conversations
- The joy of checking off your bucket list
- The solace of bereavement care and support
“It was unexpected: everything felt like it was happening so fast. The staff immediately jumped in and started handling things I didn’t even consider. It’s like they slowed down time, so I could breathe and enjoy the time I had left with my son.”

For Patients
Hospice helps you live life on your terms with high-quality and compassionate care. We provide support, manage symptoms and medications, and help you and the people who love you navigate your journey according to your beliefs, desires, and goals.
Your hospice care team is available wherever you live: in your home, a family member’s home, a nursing facility, an assisted living facility, or anywhere you call home. Our goal is to keep you where you are comfortable, surrounded by the people you love.
For Your Circle of Support
Hospice provides caring support and valuable training for the circle of support of our patients. We’ll help you deal with insurance policies, navigate legal issues and social services, and connect you with additional resources in your community so you don’t have to work through these often-confusing options on your own.
Hospice services also provide bereavement services for 13 months after a loved one’s death. Your care team is ready for whatever support you need, whenever you need it, 24 hours a day.
