Hospice of the Northwest Lending Library
The Hospice of the Northwest Lending Library provides access to information, ideas and insights that support and inform our patients and their families, our staff, volunteers, and community members, in their pursuit of comfort and dignity as they address life-limiting illnesses and loss.
Run by hospice volunteers, our self-service Lending Library has over 1,500 books, DVDs and CDs that range in style from the very personal to more guidebook-like, and in intent from inspirational to practical.
Our items are organized into seven major categories arranged so it is convenient to browse:
- Caregiving
- Children/Teen
- End of Life
- Grief
- Illness/Disease
- Inspiration
- Reference

“The nice thing about a book: You can take it home and open it whenever you’re ready, come back to it when you like, or put it aside for when the time is right.”
Lee Link, Volunteer Library Manager
