Grief and loss can be difficult, and compassionate bereavement support can make a difference. That’s why we offer a variety of bereavement support services, meeting people where they are in their grieving process.
When a hospice patient passes, their families are offered bereavement support for 13 months as part of the service provided by Hospice of the Northwest. Additionally, all of the following bereavement services are available to anyone in our community who is experiencing grief and loss, regardless of whether they have a connection to a patient on our service:
- Grief and Loss Support Groups
- One-on-One Counseling
- Community Resources in our Lending Library
The path through grief and loss is personal; it’s full of emotions that vary from day to day, hour to hour. Our goal is to normalize these feelings and give people the personalized tools and the resources they need to navigate through grief.
Bereavement support through Hospice of the Northwest can include individualized plans to help with coping strategies, navigating new life circumstances, decision-making support, and simply being a source of comfort and helpful information. We take into consideration culture, ethnicity, and religious background, so everyone feels comforted and supported through their journey of grief and loss.
