While Assistant Nurse Manager, Jenni Finzimer, RN, is relatively new to that position, she has been a nurse for more than 17 years. Most recently, she was the Registered Nurse Case Manager for the Hospice of the Northwest “North Team” that serves the area from Sedro-Woolley to Marblemount.
As the Assistant Nurse Manager, Jenni will focus on supporting the nurses at Hospice of the Northwest and keeping the flow and quality of care for patients as seamless as possible.
In her long nursing career, Jenni has worked in a variety of departments and settings, but her passion has always been for hospice care.
“A few years ago, I had a first-hand experience when my ‘bonus mom’ was on service with HNW,” said Jennie. “Seeing the role of the hospice nurse in action fueled my passion. From the moment I was hired, I have been in awe of the amazing culture of our HNW family. It is humbling and beautiful to serve our patients and families, as well as each other.”
When she’s not working, Jenni enjoys being a part of the medical team for Skagit Speedway with her husband, who is a career EMT and firefighter. They enjoy doing home projects together on their 20-acre property and, if she won $1 million dollars, said they would travel and purchase real estate with their 3 children.
